What is an HHO PWM?

HHO stands for oxyhydrogen, a gas obtained from the water used to run cars. PWM stands for Pulse Wave Modulation and is a new technique used to deliver an intermediate amount of power. It can be used in various fields such as telecommunication, power supply, and voltage regulation. A PWM sends signal in pulses. The width of each pulse determines the amount of energy sent, and in fact, this technology can also be used for HHO generators.

PWM technology

A PWM is basically an electronic switch that turns on and off very quickly. The speed is very fast and you can modulate the on time versus the off time. The term duty cycle is used to describe the ignition time during each cycle expressed as a percentage. Even though it flashes on and off, the output signal appears smooth because the speed is so high, like a light bulb turning on and off 120 times per second, but continuous light is perceived by our eyes. The advantage is that a desired voltage can be delivered without much hassle. PWM turns on and off quickly, so the amount of power wasted is almost negligible.

The purpose of a PWM for HHO

Now the question arises, why do you need a PWM? An HHO generator produces a lot of heat when it runs for a few hours at a time. This is particularly troublesome when you run it for 6-8 hours in a day. If you do not fix this problem, you will degrade performance. The high temperature can melt the metal container and will draw more amperage. So a PWM is required to reduce heat production as it averages the current and keeps the system cool for smooth operation. You can buy cheap and expensive HHO PWM.

Why use HHO PWM

Another advantage of PWM is that it produces ortho HHO gas, which is 3 times more combustible than the para isomer. This better gas quality increases the efficiency of your engine. When you use an HHO engine, it improves your car’s performance and makes it more eco-friendly, and also, if you use HHO PWM, it’s a great match for any type of car.
