Eye for Design – Game Review, Download, Tips and Tricks

Today let’s look at a new design game Eye for Design, the latest title developed by Techfront and published by Sandlot Games.

Speaking of the task, your goal is to help Halle, a talented young designer who has just graduated from the design academy, satisfy her clients’ every whim and rise to the top of the business.

Like many design games, Eye for Design features fun cartoon graphics and a fun soundtrack. Also, this game will introduce you to a bunch of lovely characters. As in other games created by Sandlot, all types of customers are depicted in a very realistic and ironic way (you will be designing interiors for game-obsessed students, hippies who can’t stand anything new and trendy, cowboys, Adams-type families). , etc.). ).

Basically, your task is to place furniture from the required and optional lists in the available places in a room. But there are a few things to remember:

1. Each client has their whims. Some of your customers would like “old” or cowboy-style furniture even though it looks ugly. But as you know, a customer is always right; so be sure to choose cowboy-style interior items from all available furniture. So, just like in Wedding Dash, you will have to carefully read the wishes of your clients at the beginning of each level.

2. There will be 3 types of goals for you. You will have to achieve the required goals by placing the furniture highlighted in orange on your list. Those are mandatory items required to reach the minimum score. Optional items are highlighted in blue. They will significantly increase your score. And the third hidden goal is what you achieve when you fulfill the client’s wishes.

3. If you win a silver trophy for each room in the house, you will unlock a bonus round where you can decorate the room however you like.

4. Colors. You will be able to change the colors of the furniture, but you must be very careful with the palette. Try to choose two colors that complement each other and look good together. Use them for furniture for a better score. Don’t stick to one solid color and don’t make the furniture too multicolored.

5. Start working on interior design with the most useful items (like a bed for a bedroom, a dining table for a kitchen). Once you position them correctly, you’ll see the interior design logic: a nightstand goes next to the bed, a TV should be in front of a sofa or chairs, a chair should be next to a desk, etc.)

6. Even if you have earned enough points to go to the next room in the house, be sure to click on the Accessories tab and decorate the room with pictures, mirrors, rugs, lamps, etc. additional. They will never lower your score. Take your client’s wishes into account when personalizing the room.

Speaking of the game’s drawbacks, I would admit its somewhat repetitive background tune.

And as always, I appreciate titles that combine different game mechanics (not just object placement puzzles). It would be nice to see some mini-puzzles like point and click or hidden objects in the game.
