The HTC Sensation XE spares no effort

A couple of upgraded versions of the popular HTC Sensation, Sensation XE and XL, have recently been released. In this article, I’ll take a look at some of the key features of the HTC Sensation XE.

The HTC Sensation XE looks almost identical to the original Sensation. Aesthetically, the only changes are the red accents on parts of the phone, like the speaker grill and camera surround, and the capacitive Android shortcut keys now have an attractive red illumination instead of the standard white. There is also a red beats audio mark on the back of the phone, which brings me to one of the most important features of this device.

The renowned “Beats by Dr Dre” audio technology has been incorporated into the phone (in fact, HTC bought Beats Audio for around $300 million, so we can expect to see Beats on many new HTC models), which means superior quality. Superior sound to just about any other phone out there. As a bonus, you also get a pair of Beats headphones included with the phone. These are quickly becoming the go-to headphones, replacing Apple’s iconic white earbuds.

The HTC Sensation XE has many other impressive features found in the original. It has the same 8-megapixel camera, which comes with image stabilization, face detection, instant capture, and 1080p Full HD video recording.

Plus, it features the same high-resolution (540x 960) S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, which is bright, clear, and responsive. It may not have the resolution of the iPhone 4S or the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but it still offers fantastic display quality.

Internet browsing is one of the strengths of the Sensation XE, data download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps possible with a 3G connection, as well as the option to use Wi-Fi to connect to the network. The HTC Sense user interface provides the default web browser, and several other alternatives are available in the Android Market, along with hundreds of thousands of other apps from many categories.

Hardware-wise, the processor has arguably seen the biggest overhaul. The original Sensation has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor which provides exceptional performance, but with this XE version, a whopping 1.5 GHz dual-core processor is provided, making it the most powerful smartphone around. in the world in terms of processing power.

As you can see, HTC Sensation doesn’t skimp anywhere on its specs list. This article only provides an overview of some of its key features. If you really want to have a state-of-the-art smartphone packed with features, take a closer look at its list of specifications and I’m sure you’ll be impressed.
