Slapped in the face!

they kept it all

It was thrown in the streets, the highways and the detours. Yes, silver, gold, diamonds, dollars, pound notes and other currencies. Nope! Nope! Too late! Too late! We can’t use it now! Pestilences, calamities, diseases, plagues, heat, cold, floods, fire and earthquakes surround us everywhere. Angels, horses, chariots, and a king are all visible in the sky. Loud trumpets are blowing loudly, the sky is crashing down and the sky is on fire, what good is money to us now?

Money given but refused

Employers, husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, boyfriends and girlfriends, emptied their bank accounts for those in need but had trouble giving the money away. The employers pleaded: ‘Here is the money we owe you and sorry for the delay.’ I think we owe you a lot of money. This is what we owe, take it and buy what you need.

‘Thanks boss, but our bills are all paid, our fridges and freezers are full of food, our homes are warm and we’re not cold or hungry anymore!’

‘Wife,’ says the husband, ‘take this money and buy enough food at home to feed yourself and the children.’
‘Thank you, husband, but we are no longer hungry; we are full and we have all that is needed!’
I’m so sorry I wasn’t there for you and the kids when you needed me. When you asked me for financial help, I walked away from you, even though I knew the situation. Also, my friends, relationships and work meant more to me than you and the kids, even knowing that we were a married couple and had a family; I still haven’t done my duty. Instead, I was a husband and father to others, including my workplace. When I went out with my friends, I paid for their meals, drinks and helped pay for their vacations. Also, I left you at home and went on vacation with friends, relatives, and with my workplace, and let everything suffer. Therefore, I have failed as a husband and father.

My son, my daughter, here is some money, buy yourself the things you have always needed for some time!’
‘Thanks mom and dad, but I don’t need these things anymore. I have enough now and plenty to spare and I will no longer be in need. Bye-bye mom, bye-bye dad, I’m sorry to hear that I’ll never see you again.

‘Dear Mom and Dad, I’m sorry I didn’t help you when you needed me, but now I’m here and ready to help you. Here’s some money to pay your rent/mortgage and your heating bills.’
‘Thank you son and daughter, but our rent/mortgage and heating bills have been paid by us and we will never ask or need your help again. Your lack of kindness towards us has eternally separated us and we will never see each other again. Goodbye my son, goodbye my daughter!

‘My girlfriend, here’s some money to help you buy some groceries and help with your rent while you study.’
‘Thank you my love but I am no longer in need. A kind person saw my desperation and came to my rescue and now your help is no longer needed, goodbye, we will never meet again!’

‘My beloved boyfriend, I have bought you a gift and it is something you have always wanted.’
‘It’s okay, dear, I don’t need the heater anymore. My room is warm and now I am resting in the glory and warmth of my Lord. Farewell! Farewell! I will never see your face again.

Final request to take what was stolen

Rich men and women pleaded with those whom they robbed and cheated and did not help to take the money that was offered to them. But the money was thrown into the street because it was useless and had no value. I couldn’t buy food, medicine, clothes or any of the necessities of life. Now everything in the world was free, but no one was interested in this freedom of wealth.

How some got their wealth

The poor were robbed, the orphans abandoned, the widows and widowers abandoned, the sick abandoned, the naked without clothes, and the hungry without food. For centuries, the poor have been abandoned and robbed by those who were much richer than them. However, there is nothing wrong with being rich, but the problem occurs in how this wealth was obtained, worshiped and distributed. When money is not put to good use but is hoarded for self-gratification, sin lurks at the door and evil takes control. Money is not a bad thing in itself, but the love of it makes it bad. And because of his love, many lives will be eternally lost.

A man died so you could live!

Jesus left his home in heaven and came to this evil world to save humanity from total ruin. As a result of dying on the cross we became his priceless jewel and were given the opportunity to have eternal life. When he was on earth, he not only healed the sick, but cared for the needy, even though he was poor himself. Therefore, Jesus is our example of caring for and loving one another.

Reminder

The things of this world are only for a short time, so don’t set your heart on temporary things because they are only for a moment. Do not allow your earthly goods or the pleasures of this world to rob you of eternal life. Just remember that it is not wrong to have riches, but it is the love of them that makes them evil. Do your best to do what is right, then you will hear those wonderful words spoken by Jesus: “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord. I was hungry and you fed me, naked and clothed.” I, sick and in prison, and you visited me”!

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may the Lord make his face shine upon you and have mercy on you, may the Lord lift up the light of his countenance upon you and have mercy on you today, now and forever and ever, AMEN.
