The materials you needed for your project are two by four building materials, two by 10 beams, precast stairs, columns, beam hangers, wood stud anchors, roof deck, cement, base tubes, shingles, sand. , H2O and railings. .

INSTRUMENTS

The tools needed to accomplish this task are nails, hammer, circular saw, table saw, drill bits, drill, portable concrete mixer, shovel, chalk, string, wooden stakes, pen and paper, power cords, goggles, and a pair of stairs

STEPS IN BUILDING A GAZEBO

Most people build circular or pentagonal gazebos. The steps are the same for any shape, although a circular shape requires more attention to detail. Find the center of your structure. Put a stake in the center of the structure and tie a rope. With the help of the rope, go around the circle, placing a wooden stake at each base.

Remember that the larger the structure, the more foundation holes you will have to dig. Eight to ten inch lumber boards generally need a base location on each side of each lumber board. Even if it is a free-standing structure, you must obtain a building permit from your local municipality. Dig foundation holes four inches below the frost line. Place the base tube into the hole in the base, making sure it stays three inches below the ground.

Mix up some cement and place it inside the base tube. Install an anchor in the cement mix before it dries. Repeat the same procedure for the base holes. Connect your posts to bases and make sure they are all at the same level.

Connect the beams to the wooden posts and see if they are the same height at each step. Put in 2-by-10 joists and check again if everything is the same height. For a larger one, a more complicated framing system is required. For a smaller one, a single brace will be required for additional support between the main beams. For the floor deck, remember to leave gaps between the floor boards to prevent H2O buildup. Place the columns at all base points. If there is no installation point above the column, lay down a lumber to better support the ceiling boards and joists.

For the roof frame, use the post. Split beams to required length and attach to top of column and main block. Additional hands and a couple of ladders will help you put 3 beams on the main block and supports. You can use various clamps to strengthen the roof frame. Railings generally come in different sizes and features.

You can make the railings yourself, but pre-made railings will save you time. The materials you need for the roof are lumber, roofing paper, and asphalt shingles. Make sure you get the correct measurement before you begin roof construction. Angles can be very challenging, especially when cutting lumber and roofing paper. Secure everything with nails.

ADDITIONAL TIPS

Be careful when you are fixing the roof of your masterpiece. Have someone else secure the ladder for you so you don’t have to worry about climbing it.
