Eliminate termites with household solutions available

Common table salt is very effective at killing all types of termites. Fill a quart glass jar with salt and add warm water and stir until all the salt dissolves. You now have a brine solution that is highly toxic to termites. To apply, simply fill a turkey baster with the brine mixture and inject the solution into accessible termite lairs in infestation areas. Sodium salt will naturally dehydrate pests.

Regular laundry bleach is also highly lethal to termites. Simply introduce undiluted lye into the termite galleries in the same way as salt. For safety, wear goggles to protect your eyes and dishwashing gloves to protect your hands. The bleach instantly chemically burns the termites on contact and makes the wood in the treated area inedible for future infestations.

Most homes contain an aerosol can of penetrating oil product called WD-40 that has more useful uses than duct tape. WD-40 is highly effective at killing termites. It also comes with a handy applicator straw, which makes it easy to inject the solution into the galleys where termites live. Apply with straw applicator to termite infestation similar to the explained application technique with the basting syringe. WD-40 is primarily fish oil. It naturally kills termites by clogging their respiratory pores. Plus, it leaves a pest repellant residue that is non-toxic to humans.

Long before Dow Jones Chemicals or any commercial exterminator existed, everyday people like you and I were killing our own termites and other household pests. Today you can still treat your own termites naturally while saving money and avoiding potential toxic chemical poisoning of your home and family.
